books 05.17.17

I was at RT Booklovers in Atlanta at the beginning of the month, so I didn’t really have any library books checked out (ok I had two, but that’s not very interesting) and thus skipped the blog post. Hopefully I’ll get around to sharing what all I brought home from the convention, but until then you’ll just have to make do with all of the library holds I have now reactivated and checked out.

Stack one:

  • Ghachar Ghochar by Vivek Shanbhag
  • Buffalo Soldier by Maurice Broaddus (these novellas that Tor has been putting out have been all been EXCELLENT so far)
  • Maman’s Homesick Pie: A Persian Heart in an American Kitchen by Donia Bijan
  • Star-Crossed by Barbara Dee
  • What Language Is: And What It Isn’t And What It Could Be by John McWhorter
  • No One Can Pronounce My Name by Rakesh Satyal
  • Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit by Jaye Robin Brown
  • Geekerella: A Fangirl Fairy Tale by Ashley Poston
  • The Last Days of Café Leila by Donia Bijan
  • The Sultan and the Queen: The Untold Story of Elizabeth and Islam by Jerry Brotton
  • Solve for Happy: Engineer your Path to Joy by Mo Gawdat
  • Atlas Obscura: An Explorer’s Guide to the World’s Hidden Wonders
