Japan Update

I am in Japan, and it is awesome. There will be lots of pictures later, but it’s too much work to get them off of the camera right now.

There was one last post from the airport on our way out of Hawaii, but it seems to have gotten lost in the ether. Maybe it will show up at some point.

Yesterday we went on a bus tour of Tokyo and saw Tokyo Tower, participated in a tea ceremony, saw the National Diet Building and the Imperial Palace Plaza, took a short boat cruise, visited the Asakusa Kannon Temple and then came back to the hotel and collapsed.

Today we went on a walking tour of Kamakura, which included seeing the Hasedera Temple, the Great Buddha, the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, and then came back to the hotel and collapsed.

Tomorrow is a free day, which will be spent shopping and gawking in equal measure. We’re having tons of fun!

Whale Watching Redux

This time we saw whales! And they are *incredibly* hard to
photograph. This is the very best Mr. Lush managed: that teeny tiny
splash way in the distance is a whale. Really.
