On Monday, Mr. Lush and I went to Uptown. We had dinner at Amazing Thailand, and it was really tasty. I’d recommend it if you’re in that neighborhood. We also stopped at Magers & Quinn, because I am physically incapable of passing a bookstore without going in.
I got some really cute editions of Jane Austen (well, except for Sandition, which they didn’t have) to replace my cumbersome all-in-one-volume edition. They caught my attention initially because of the nice design work, and then I was pleased with the price–under $5 each! Now I have a pretty matched set:
I also picked up a copy of Graceling, which is my new favorite book. I have a really hard time explaining why I like it so much: I either say “OMG I love this book!!!” or I go into a thirty minute monologue on how awesome it is. I have yet to find the middle ground. Part of my problem is that the story is intricate and complex, and it’s hard to explain things without dropping too many spoilers. Kristin Cashore created an incredible world, and I can’t wait to go back there again. Suffice to say that it is awesome, and you should read it.
In honor of the painfully early airport run this morning which will be followed by a full day at work:
